The Start of Autumn in Upstate New York.

The Start of Autumn in Upstate New York.

Hunting season. Meow.

This is a Trout Fly, designed and tied by Ted Krueger. It’s a Wet Fly which means it goes beneath the surface of the water rather than floating on top. The hook is ‘bent back’ which means the barb is on top. It’s made from feathers and wool fiber.

Greyling is a fresh water fish that lives at high altitudes (think Colorado). It’s a relative of trout but has scales whereas trout do not. It’s painted at close to full scale. They’re quite colorful.

Sentinel. Meow.

Meow.

Roll right.
Meow.

Never make your move too soon.

Buck the Cat on vacation in Wisconsin, say cheese.

Cleanliness is next to Catlyness. Meow.

The ole cross-paw catch. Meow.

Still have problems with the value of ‘black”, I’d like more control. Meow.

Cat roll, kitty crunches. Meow.

Aerial view. MEOW. I’m studying how to portray motion.

Belly on the blankets. Meow.

Classic cat pose. Meow.

Buck the Cat has a stern stare. But he’s just a pussycat.

Buck the Cat soaks in the summer sun.

It’s summer and the Sun Fish dart about the warm shallows just off shore. There are several varieties. This one is a ‘Pumpkin Seed”, named so because of the distinctive red/orange ‘ear’ on its gill.

I haven’t had time to post lately. In was accepted into the Art-O-Mat project (which I’ll post here later), and neglected the Daily Cat series along with most other art endeavors.
If you’ll notice, I have a new site format here, let me know what you think about it. I do really want to sell my art and I hope the site renovation will interest you to look at my body of work and buy some of it. Contact me, Jeankruegerfineart@gmail.com for more info.
